Experience the City of San Francisco through virtual reality!
Explore the Embarcadero, Mission Creek and Heron’s Head – three low-lying locations at risk in San Francisco from sea-level rise. The tour starts in present day and links to visualizations of a future if no action is taken as well as what these sites could look like when steps are taken to prepare for flooding and other climate impacts, and reduce carbon emissions.
Interact with the virtual environment by tapping on colorful icons to reveal facts about sea-level rise risks and possible responses, and answer questions regarding your concerns and support for action. Turn 360° with your phone or tablet to get the full experience and click the “next” icon to advance from one visualization to the next.
The app also provides links to actions you can take if you live in San Francisco such as getting involved with sea-level rise planning and switching to 100% renewable energy to power your home or business.
